Augustine enlisted as a private on January 8, 1862 in Company G. Augustine was born in 1820 in Maryland. Augustine Little was married to Jane Eliza Lilly. They had six children Andrew, John, Joseph, Allen, Mary , and Phillip. Augustine died of disease October 18, 1864 in Sandy Hook, Maryland. His body was reburied later in Antietam National Cemetery in grave 4007. His widow Jane applied for his pension in 1865.
