| Samuel Bishop Samuel Bishop was born on May 6th, 1829, and entered the 54th Va. on Sept 10,1861 at Christiansburg Va.. He was in company E. He was enlisted by Jno J. Wade for a period of 12 months. On March 29th 1862 he ws paid a $50 bounty to reup for 3 years. The pay officer was J. F. Fisher. He apparently served at Chicamauga, Ga. but no record of him is available after this battle. He was not killed as he lived until Nov 25, 1905. Information Provided by:Jim Otey |
