Born Feb. 7, 1826 in Floyd Co., Va. Married Elizabeth Kingra on Dec. 27, 1847 in Floyd Co. Enlisted on April 7, 1862 in Richmond - Co. A, 54th Va. Inf. Died Feb. 7, 1909 in Roanoke Co., Va. Buried in Fairview Cemetery - Roanoke Survived by 4 sons and 3 daughters at his death.
